Iced

Here in Alaska,
stuck in glaciers,
wrapped in ice,
touched by coldness.
Numb is my skin.
Frozen is my blood.
My bones unshaked.
My muscles unconscious.

My body is deformed,
irregular,
unmoved.
It has left me like this
by time,
it has preserved me like this
by love.

Neither am I alive
nor dead.
I am neutral,
has a need to live,
wanting to die.

Only through
the windows of my soul
can you truly see the reason
which keeps me cold.
Stiff are my eyes,
and when it cries,
it only dies,
my tears are iced.
And so is your love.
Only,
much iced.
