You had it in your palms,
the sweat of a scared believer.
You held it in your fingertips,
the lining of a cloud so silver.
You threw it all away,
the wisdom of a true superhero.
You left it all behind,
the symptoms of a frailing ego.
Your eyelids burn your feeble soul
to free your wretchedness;
Your heart-shaped face release the fate
of a lasting loneliness.
You bleed crimson red
and fill your glass
until it overflows.
You kill the time
and make it last
until nobody grows.
Are the bruises worth every word
your thoughts discreetly whisper?
Are the tombstones ever ready
for each soul in hell to linger?
Shake your head
and let your mind
admit reality.
Unless you start
to walk away,
You'll never be worthy.
